I can't dance

I turned 26 last Friday and here are four Instagram photos to share!

1) Secretly taken by Ros before it turned midnight, I was really tired from trying to ollie for two hours… So I sat and wheeled myself all over the place instead. I like how un-26 I look here.
2) Farah and I at birthday dinner at Hummerstons, big green noses were mandatory. (Taken by Nabbycat!)
3) My friend, Mel, got penis balloons and pointed out they were ribbed too 😀 Other friend, Jason, proceeded to twist some “balloon animals” and created a three-headed-mutated-penis-alien!! Love them!
4) CAKE! It’s the cutest thing EVER. (I ate the nose)

There were mini skateboards as cutlery stands too! (no photo tho 🙂 1000 points, F!

Hummerstons!

My brother worked with his chef, Bouk, at his old job. Sometime in May, Bouk opened his first restaurant, Hummerstons. My brother’s one of the two sou chefs there now. I’m a big fan of my brother and his food and love to show my support in any way I can. The food’s so good! And so are the desserts! This coming from a non-dessert person.

I took some photos on film which are below but there’s many more photos on Belly—my boyfriend’s and my newish tumblr for food.

3. That’s the kitchen. And you see chef and owner Bouk in the front, my brother, Ben, at the back and on the right is the super talented pastry chef, Deborah. (She’s so young but produces such refined and sophisticated desserts. In awe of her talent!)

Hummerstons is located at Robertson Walk, get their opening hours & address on their Facebook. Also, Sarah did a wonderful post on them, chekkit. And if you plan to go, I highly recommend the prawn pavoratti, the burger, the pumpkin cheesecake and poutine with montreal sauce. I do daydream about the prawn pavoratti from time to time… mmmm.
