My nose doesn't like me

I had a superduperawesome late christmas party y’day, it lasted for twelve hours. It started with finding a decent place for brunch on a Monday, we shopped for groceries, we cooked ourselves dinner, exchanged AWESOME presents and sorta ran out of steam by 11PM. Hohoho. I took no pictures because my nose didn’t like me and just ruined my entire day.

Every empty surface I have in the room is covered with presents and cards and surprise mail-things but I’m a big sick grumpy monster right now. I so can’t wait to get better so I can enjoy my new things! And read handwritten cards!

In the meantime… I’ve put up some photos taken in nyc, back in 2008. What can I say but I miss the place? I actually did not take any photos on film for that trip. Bizarre.

I miss.

I miss.

I miss.

I miss.

Merry Chrismassy!

Believe me I’m writing this with as much happiness and joy for this tremendous day called Christmas. The hours leading up to now, which isn’t many considering I only woke up at 4PM. It has been one boo-boo after another!

2AM supermarketing

First, we wanted to do a miniature picnic party for Ada and we went supermarketing at 2AM last night. Miniature cos she’s mini right. So I woke up at 4 and prepped the food.

miniature egg

Tiny egg! I couldn’t help but think ‘dinosaurrrrr’ as I was peeling it. I was so happy you have no idea how happy I was and I was about to take a shower then IT RAINS!!

Mmmhmm.

Russian Red

I finally let the idea of the picnic go. Wanted to put on my new red lipstick – christmas gift from my mom – and after getting my lips painted perfectly, oh I go ahead to drop it and destroy the tip and splatttt my mirror and STAIN MY SHIRT!! MOMMMMY!!!!!

Well I’m in a new shirt now and we’re going for a dim sum dinner. Nevertheless, MERRY CHRISTMAS you guys! Good food, good people, good times!

Eating and making

First up, photos of the picnic are up on Sarah’s! I am gonna finish up my roll of film and share those later. Love the mix of people who joined us, Sandy, Yvonne, Arlia & her 15 year old sister, Nadia, Nurul and Dybs – You girls were champs despite the rain! And I have to thank my awesome friends for being so awesome and entertaining – Nabs, Sherms, Caili, Farah – you guys, love you guys because you’re worth it! Our worlds got smaller that day, Sarah & her friend, Charlotte, went to school with Nabs and Sherms and you’re confused, I’m confused but everyone’s happy!

So abruptly moving on, I’ve been eating and making and here are photos.

My gift wrapping improved ten-folds this year! Last year it was shiny paper and lots of mistakes. Btw, you have to check out Essimar’s gift wrapping ideas, I wouldn’t mind an empty box from her, just to get some gift wrapping goodness!

Finished product. One’s going to Belgium and the rest will be put up in my etsy store! Which is totally dusty and needs a revival.

Some prep work before tomorrow’s picnic. This is the first time I’m making cranberry sauce which also makes this the first time I’m making turkey cranberry sandwiches! I used this recipe for the sauce and will be using this recipe for the sandwiches. I’m so very excited and I asked Fatboy to do the Sunshine Dance so we’ll have good weather tomorrow.

Have a tremendous Sunday wherever you are! x
