Bali was epic. I’m very tanned and still not entirely recognizing my limbs. The rolls of film are being developed so I’ll share some with you guys tomorrow. It’s so nice to be home tho, I’m a softie, I miss everything – my cats, my pillow, my bed, my bathroom, my boyfriend. And then I remembered these last few photos I have yet to share. They were taken at home, in the kitchen to be exact.

See you tomorrow!

See how huge the snake-like kites are? From where I was sitting, they took my breath away, in a terrifying way. They looked evil like aliens wanting to take over our world. The photos definitely don’t capture it but you take my word for it yeah!

This is the last bits of photos of kites, I think I overdid it on the blog a little!
Anyway I’ll be off to Bali with some friends on Thursday and over the weekend but we are so cool, we haven’t gotten a place to stay. If you know me well, I am the biggest freaker-outer ever. So yeah… hooray, adventure!!

There was this one night we were sick of being in front of our computers, so we headed to the park in the middle of the night to try flying our kite. The kite didn’t fly so well, my plan to read wasn’t so bright an idea and having passersby stare down at us only gave us more reason to cycle for supper instead! We tried to write a song and got stuck after two lines… haha, we’re probably never doing this again. Did you know “there’s a first (and last) time for everything” is one of my favourite lines?

Ben & I went our separate ways for dinner tonight, both of us had dinner with our own families. By the way, it’s Chinese New Year here and tonight’s the night for reunion dinner. Just in case you’re wondering what’s up with the whole separate dinner with family thing. So anyway I came home to a sleeping giant and I decided to be kind and let him sleep. At about 2AM, I got hungry which is when I saw this box of cupcakes! Awww cupcakes for me! Geez, they’re so freaking pink tho. Awww he bought me cupcakes! Is it a lame attempt to be all Valentine’s Day. Awww awww! Imma gonna eat them anyway because I just have to. The internal struggle I have, over a box of cupcakes…
Well, I had two of them and immediately felt a heartburn coming on. But I really like the silver cups they’re sitting in tho.
So, happy new year to my fellow Chinese people and if you and your significant other celebrate Valentine’s Day, have a romantic day, learn something new about each other and kiss lots.
P.S. Some of you had real nice encouraging things to say in my last post. Thanks a big big bunch. Means much and I’m keeping your words close to my heart now.
