Boy oh boy do I have a problem with my memory! It’s deteriorating. Fast. Age is catching up. And fast. So what I forgot about was to share Adeline’s Photographic Diary, this entry is on ink or tattoos. My small tattoos made it on there together with Liz and Diana’s massive sleeves! Was super stoked to be included. Plus Adeline’s recently banged out a new neat layout which was done by Katrina and well, short story short, I’m pretty much in love with how tight this blogging community is.
So from tattoos to food, here we go with food on film #2.

pan-fried salmon, kenyan green beans, zucchini & tomato & avocado salad

penne with pork sausage (minced up) & kenyan green beans, in a chicken broth sauce (I followed a recipe for the sauce but switched up the greens). It’s nice change from the usual tomato/cream base and Ben was very quick to say he liked it (yay for me)! If you’d like the recipe, I’d be happy to scan a copy.

breakfast of zucchini and avocado on wholemeal toast

clear-the-fridge-and-throw-it-all-in fried rice for lunch

I rarely snack on chocolate but the new packaging gave me a reason to put it in the basket. It’s boxy and nice to hold now.
How’s everyone’s weekend going? I’m desk-bound and working on more twigs, watching the new season of Project Runway and hopefully, eat some ice cream tomorrow.
Sarahs-loft that is! I can’t believe I forgot about these pictures. This was… early July. She invited some of us over for home-style pizzas! There, I got to meet her ridiculously obedient mini kewt! toy poodle, Momo.
Cupcakes from yokebakery

Starving wagging tongues were first fed a cream-based seafood pizza

Followed by this! Prosciutto or parma ham, I forget but oohahh together with spinach and all that cheese.

I’m torturing myself, I’m hungry sleepy but surprisingly, not grumpy. Anyway the pizza lady is waltzing around Melbourne right now and for many more days! Come home soon!
How cute is this token to ride the train!

Hualumphong central railway station

Chinatown (always chaotic, everywhere in the world)

I really like the face of Gillette

Walking from Chinatown to Chao Praya river

What did you do today, or what are you gonna be doing today? Well it’s 11:17PM here so I can summarize my day in a few words: made.a.giant.pot.of.spaghetti.bolognese.sauce.
want: to go explore more parks

wish: I lived in the forest [maybe as a mushroom]

wish: I didn’t have to spend extra money on daily contact lenses, monthlys give me red eyes now, I don’t know why.

want: my big toe, second and third toe to heal. they are bruised blue and black. I dislike painting my toe nails but they’re very ugly naked right now.

want: my home to look like a cafe and have a pantry like a cafe but is a home?

wish: I had more discipline to finish my craft

If there’s anything I learnt about myself in the past year or two, is that I’ve become a lot more realistic, I like it simple, uncomplicated, edited, having patience helps and doing things at my own pace and ultimately getting things done is better than doing things at someone else’s pace and not getting things done. Do you share similar feelings too?
Babygirl turns 4 today! All in this household are July babies ‘cept for me so there will be more birthday shout-outs to come!
Howdy! Some photos of food before I gobbled it all down.

key lime pie that didn’t set so a friend suggested I freeze it, it saved the pie
Some pretty big games tonight and tomorrow if you’re following the World Cup, I’m so nervous for Spain and Argentina, yikes. G’weekend friends!

from lauren, my colouring book club partner! (much love to megan for pairing us up)
I was sick all of last week, I was coughing like an 80-year-old man so that kinda explains my disappearance, right? Anyway I’m better now and glad to be back with posting!
This is a Chinese and Japanese character that stands for Sun, pronounced as “ri”. I took this outside a Japanese kindergarten. So go outside and get some sun peeps, have a great weekend!
(Also I really can’t help but want to make you want a slow loris too!)
A continuation from this post, these photos were shot on a different roll.
I had a no-computer weekend and it was so good till I opened my rss reader this afternoon haha!
The progression of light streaming in from early dawn to noon in my kitchen. At noon, I made shrimp curry for lunch based on this recipe but changed a few ingredients. It tasted pretty amazing considering how easy and quick it was to make!
I’m gonna type out my version in the comments so check there if you want to give this curry a try.
Some weeks back, Ben & I rode our bicycles to Pandan Reservoir. Not too far from where we live.
Turns out there wasn’t much to see but it was strangely amusing when the path to walk/cycle on isn’t tarmac but gravel - you can tell from the last picture. (In our little city, every road is paved to perfection!) And the one thing I always catch myself complaining about when I photograph scenery is that there’s always something at the edge of the horizon. Ships, factories, shipyards, some kind of tall lanky tower that isn’t a lighthouse. So any time that I’m in another country, I tend to marvel at the abundant space and the never-ending nothingness!

I hope you guys enjoy these lot of photos more!

Standing on the boardwalk looking down into the sea

My friend, Caili, got stuck in the mud and we were both trying not to laugh our heads off

Looking down at my friends from somewhere in the middle of the viewing tower

Spotted this fella in the mangrove
