There was this one night we were sick of being in front of our computers, so we headed to the park in the middle of the night to try flying our kite. The kite didn’t fly so well, my plan to read wasn’t so bright an idea and having passersby stare down at us only gave us more reason to cycle for supper instead! We tried to write a song and got stuck after two lines… haha, we’re probably never doing this again. Did you know “there’s a first (and last) time for everything” is one of my favourite lines?

Ahh, this was taken right after the locksmith left. The awesome day where we paid $60 to get into our house after a morning run. It was my fault! I took the wrong key.

Lizards don’t do so well in our home

My last photo of Ada, we were about to jump into a cab and I quickly snapped this one
It’s been a little quiet here and I think about it everyday. I’m kinda dealing with a shift in me, I know it’s there and taking place, I just haven’t been able to adapt so well. But it’s all good, great actually. I only need to get used to the new voices I hear in my head.
Are there question marks above your heads right now? Haha, well for example, I really don’t feel like picking up my digital SLR and shooting with it. And I kinda want to be stubborn and shoot purely on film. Even if it’ll take me a month to finish a roll and leave me with no material for my blog, I still want to. And if that’s not enough, I want to shoot only when there’s awesome sunlight to work with. Which is really hard considering how nocturnal I am. Yeah… shite like that is stirring in my head.

I try real hard to be a morning person, to keep at the routine but from the sounds of it, yeah, I don’t do it so well. I even think I’m more prone to be awake at 8AM only because I haven’t slept the night before. Having said that, these two photos are rare because I took them when the first ray of sunlight came in through my kitchen windows. On top of that, I did sleep the night before!
Going to see The xx play tonight, very antsypants about it.

Yes. We spend way too many afternoons and evenings at the park now. I’m sunburnt and sporting an ugly tanline cos I had my sunnies on. Apart from that, I wish the park is bigger cos it seems a lot of people like flying kites too, and playing Ultimate Frisbee and soccer and playing fetch with their dogs and there’s simply not enough space for everyone. Half the time strings get tangled and oh, I neglected our kite and it got stuck in a tree for awhile, did I mention I suck at it?
The photos are from two different days, kite-flying-days.

We met this older guy who’s pretty knowledgeable about kites and he taught us that this is called the delta shape and also the easiest type to fly.

Was majorly fried this afternoon, got burnt, got heartbroken. The Killers gig is cancelled, it was supposed to be this Sunday man, it was gonna be the best party for so many of us! Gahh, we were all talking about it since 2009, still talking about it two days back and now, THIS!
But a trip to the park always has its way of making things right again. Hopped onto our bicycles and put my new Fjallraven backpack to use.

Found this little guy outside my door

A huge fella

Ben ended up buying a kite, some kind of personal quest for redemption going on there but turns out, he’s so darn good at flying a kite! He got so cocky about it which was really funny!

That’s his eagle, it makes this awesome flapping sound

G’weekend now guys! Big hugs to anyone else who got cancelled on!
