Picnic #3 was a surprise birthday thing for my dear friend, Caili. We basically set up five mats and sat there till she wandered along and noticed us. Prior plans of getting her in the park had to be made too of course.

In March, I went to a total of three picnics but got mad drunk at one. So is the one where we surprised a birthday girl, drank too much and ended up rolling on the grass by the lake. But we timed it well, the sun was setting pretty quickly.

I can’t remember who took the last two photos, it’s weird there are light leaks cos this camera never lets that happen. Strange, cues The X-Files theme song.
Has anyone ordered and gotten hold of the iPad yet, how’s it integrating into your life? My boyfriend’s anticipating his like crazy and telling me all these things about it so I wanna know if you have it! Then I can have stories too, it’s been a one-way conversation that ends with eyeballs rolling thus far heh.

A picnic! Yes I’ll say it again, we are having a picnic! And Sarah & I would like you, our readers, to come join us! Come with a friend, come with your dog, we really don’t mind so long as you have yourself a good time. The picnic’s at Botanic Gardens. All we ask of you is to drop either of us an email {hellothere[at]sarahs-loft[dot]com} or {melly[at]greenlaundry[dot]net} to let us know that you’ll be joining us, just so we prepare enough food for our tummies!!

I was feeling down all of Friday & Saturday and I didn’t want to waste my Sunday feeling shitty three days in a row so I made some sandwiches, threw together a salad and hurried Ben out of the house before the sun set. We got on our bicycles and rode to West Coast Park.
I’m loving drinks by Schweppes lately, Bitter Lemon and Dry Ginger Ale are my favourites. After watching kites flying and children digging sand (and fathers yelling at sons), we cycled to the jetty nearby.
Gotta work on being more of a park person, it’s that sorta thing whereby you know the park’s always there but it doesn’t occur to you that you could actually go there when you have no idea where to go? Yeah, my friends, we’re going to fly kites soon!
