I had such a good time, my friends were the best company! Whenever I think about it, I just smile from ear to ear. We saw some fabulous outfits, talked to many strangers and I know this is a weird comparison but Halloween night is so similar to being in a vet’s clinic ’cause you don’t need a reason to start a conversation.

Nabs was Strawberry Shortcake but we kept calling her Cupcake Princess all night long!

Sherms is Minnie Mouse with or without the costume, heehee. And this little boy wanted a photo with her so bad, it was as though we were in Disneyland!

(L-R) Cherie, Farah, myself and Mel – We went as webpages on an iMac

Loi was a confused sk8tergurl who wants to be a bear and Kenny was turned into an impromptu Harry Potter

Girls meeting Axl Rose and his abs!

Huzer blowing Tania who won best dressed for the night – Miss Blow Up Doll!

Jasper came as Andy Roddick

We met Chun Li in the washroom

And MJ

And Iron Man on the left!!

I have to add that despite partying real hard that night, we still won our floorball game the next day!
Sometimes I feel so old and so young at the same time, ah, age.

Following up with my previous post on my mission to find me a suitable sewing machine, well, it turned out both good and bad – as most situations and dilemmas in life pans out.
Here’s a recap of what my mission was:
Industry: Retail {Electronics}
Mission details: I want to get educated on the different types of sewing machines out there in the market. As a beginner, I’m definitely looking for something pretty entry-level but not too basic. But more importantly I want to find out the difference between a serger and an overlock sewing machine, what are the factors I should be considering – maybe someone who sews clothing and someone who makes curtains require different types of machines? In my head I’m thinking of how I’ve come to learn to choose between a DSLR and a point-and-shoot camera, I’ve learnt what to look out for and what I have to compromise on. So with this mission, I’m really hoping to get in tuned with sewing machines!
Service skill to test: Knowledge of product and possibly personal experience
Estimated expense (SGD): $0 because I’m window shopping!
Read about the outcome on the Are You Being Served? website.

I’ve been gone almost all of last week, gone from here, and I return with a plate of pasta! But it was really good and easy to make which is what I always look out for before attempting a new recipe.

Bacon and eggs spaghetti
I got the recipe from Su-lin, she makes great food and eats out at great places (in London) too!
By the way, do check out TasteSpotting if you’re in need of recipes, be it baking or cooking. They have it all. It’s the Notcot for food!
Be back with more.
