My nose doesn't like me

I had a superduperawesome late christmas party y’day, it lasted for twelve hours. It started with finding a decent place for brunch on a Monday, we shopped for groceries, we cooked ourselves dinner, exchanged AWESOME presents and sorta ran out of steam by 11PM. Hohoho. I took no pictures because my nose didn’t like me and just ruined my entire day.

Every empty surface I have in the room is covered with presents and cards and surprise mail-things but I’m a big sick grumpy monster right now. I so can’t wait to get better so I can enjoy my new things! And read handwritten cards!

In the meantime… I’ve put up some photos taken in nyc, back in 2008. What can I say but I miss the place? I actually did not take any photos on film for that trip. Bizarre.

I miss.

I miss.

I miss.

I miss.

Where i'd rather be right now

These were taken by my boyfriend when we were visiting the city last May

In new york, that would make me feel on top of the world. Right now i’m falling sick and i’m working (I don’t usually work on weekends). That’s double punches. A reason to go visit new york presented itself early this week but i found out, we are un-spontaneous people who can’t buy a ticket and kiss our cats goodbye just like that! Boring creatures we are, i’ll say that.

Constant craving

I’ve been back from my trip for a few days now but yknow, jetlag and alot of editing of pictures leaves me nonchalant about this blog. Two things i really regretted not doing in New York City was to 1) have another burger at Shake Shack and 2) that i didn’t make a trip to Pixie Market‘s store on Stanton because i am so in love with this pair of sandals!

Well there’s always buying it online! Oh if you’d like to see some photos from my trip, you can see them here and here.

Fops and Dandies

I spent the better part of my evening reading Fops and Dandies because the lady has such a loveable face, awesome clothes, lives in New York City and thrifts. What not to love?

There’s also this post on Chanel nail polish, and she introduced Housing Works as well as a To-Do List when up in NYC. Which is timely cos i’ll be there in late April!

Overheard

Woman #1: How are your girls?
Woman #2: They’re good. My four-year-old said something “sucked” the other day -that was fun.

Girl: So you kept sleeping with him after he told you?
Friend: Yeah. I mean, he couldn’t have been that gay… We were having sex!

–Cafe Lafayette, Brooklyn

Girl #1: … And his little brother, who was like 0.6 years old…
Girl #2: Wait. 0.6 years?
Girl #1: Yeah, you know, like half a year.
Girl #2: God, you are so idiotic!

–Statue of Liberty

Hell funny conversations overheard by people, these were overheard in NYC. There’s Celebrity Wit too.
