I’ve never had a Sunday like today. Most Sundays don’t even exist because before you know it it’s Monday. In between almost being lured to buy a $6.90 plastic cup (but for good reason, it had this magical rainbow mist ‘thing’ going on on the base of the cup) to wondering if investing in a good chef’s knife is paramount to having to tell an old salesman there’s no way i’m gonna pay $138 for a digital hot water flask (??!! what about it needs to be digital seriously, he’s got to be kidding me), i’m coming to terms with spending money on nice kitchenware instead of my wardrobe. There’s tonnes of other ‘adult’ things to come to terms with as well but i’m definitely not gonna load it off here.
So perhaps at some point this blog would house more home-related posts, i hope everyone will enjoy it all the same. This week’s pictures are a weird bunch, well they never actually flowed but this week’s really seems all over the place. Haha, you tell me.

Last week, Joanna Goddard of the amazing A Cup of Jo asked if i’d like to contribute to a post for Smitten, her blog for Glamour magazine. I don’t know how she gets to be so cool but i’m always in awe of Joanna. I had to put together an outfit i’d wear on a first date! So i had to use quite a bit of imagination to ignite that sort of tingly excitement and thinking back now, i did go abit ga ga pulling out almost all my dresses/belts/shoes to get it right. A little rusty, i am.

This is my Grimace outfit! Anything purple and i always feel like Grimace.
The dress is a birthday gift from my close friends, it’s from Dulcetfig.
Belt: part of another skirt
Bag: estatesale
Tights: zipia
Sandals: ebay
These other outfits got me going “mmm, definitely yes…”

Always beautiful, Jenny of wikstenmade

One half of ban.do, Jen of my polaroid blog

I love her daring colours, Laura Jane of No Good For Me
Thank you Jo, it was alot of fun!

Before it all spirals into dust, i’m putting up the photos i took in the last two weeks so i get my groove going. I’ve been very out-of-it, a shift is going on in my life and i need to deal with that head-on!

I’ve never said thank you to my readers before and tonight i feel it in my bones. I’m always trying to post better content because blogs are my main source of ideas and inspiration day in and out so this is me giving back? Well okay now it gets awkward so, put on some music and dance.

I made a trip down to Haji Lane earlier this week and popped by Bianca, a shoe shop. I got these pair of Dorothy-red maryjanes, thanks to the lovely people at Bianca, and they make me so happy. Mainly because maryjanes are shoes that i go weak for. Plus I very rarely find one in a classic cut so i definitely couldn’t let these go.
So Bianca’s really cool (I like that it sounds like i’m talking about someone), what i’m particularly fond of is how their shoes are sophisticated without the frills. No funny pattern that runs across your shoe just for the sake of. The inside of the shop is where you want to be on a hot day! The shop’s got this mood and all i could think of was Anna Sui. I’ll let the photos do the talking for a bit.

You should know that their designs are done in-house, and since exclusivity is always a good thing to have, they only produce limited pairs of each design.
I not only scored cute shoes at Haji Lane, on my way out i picked out two vests from House of Japan and i’m wearing one of them here.

Y’know, new shoes calls for outfits built around it. This vest was part of a Korean uniform. It’s houndstooth with little pockets. Maryjanes have a sense of innocence about it so i was trying to channel a school girl (or boy) outfit. I wish i had a panama hat to complete the look tho.
So drop by Bianca, 44 Haji Lane, Level 2! They update their collections every few weeks. And if you’re the kind who prefers to shop behind your computer screen, they made it possible here too.

I had an early start to the day, jumped out of bed at 7.45! That is rare. Ventured out to get dim sum – which is why i was up so early. Ain’t got much to say this time, except i have new hair? Having this hair makes me want to dress funny. I’d put on my clothes and do a Karen-O pose in the mirror and go ‘holy crap’.
