It’s the Lunar New Year tomorrow and Friday, which means a whole lot of hanging out with family. I’m most excited to see my grandfolks and my 7-year-old cousin!
That’s my ahma (grandma) in the first photo and my ahgong’s (grandpa) pet bird. The bird behaves like a human in some ways, it’s pretty cool. So I can’t wait to see them all on Friday!
Happy Lunar New Year to those celebrating! May reunion dinner be delicious and hands away from them fatty pineapple tarts!

There was one week in December where I pretty much cooked every meal for lunch and dinner. These were some of the food I made and took photos of. You can go ahead and click on the photos to find out what it is and what recipe I followed.
About the long silence on the blog, it was a combination of being busy being stale being boring being everywhere else but here. But I think all those feelings are disappearing and I’m gonna be posting more frequently from now. Another thing is, I passed my motorcycle traffic police test and got my license about two weeks ago!! Yeahhhh but my vespa only comes in March. Which really sucks. But it’s what I’ve always wanted and what I’ll be riding for some years so I gotta deal with waiting for my motorbike in the colour I want.
Anyway I hope you like the new look for the blog too! Bigger and brighter.

heart-shaped chai tea bits from muji

the colour’s way off in the photo, anyway, these are my new shoesies! the Cali oxford from Dieppa Restrepo in gunmetal.

favourite shade for the moment, RGB’s Steel.

beautiful cards from yellow owl work shop!

nice on the outside and nice on the inside too. lemonade from marks & spencer

I’m no expert on black pepper but this one by Jamie Oliver is so darn aromatic and robust, I actually did want to nibble the pepper on its own.
So right this minute, I’m mentally exhausted from working on my Christmas cards, such a loser, you wouldn’t believe how many times I failed during the process! But when push comes to shove, I let go of my one and only idea and came up with something I like so much better. No more “ugh I want to die” and “I hate Christmas” coming from me, I officially am feeling the Christmas spirit.
I can’t wait to get them all done and mail them out! Some of which will be going to some of you (and hopefully in time)!
Just one last YAY!,
okay I’m gone.

At Skinny Pizza

We had the mozzarella+arugula+meat bolognese pizza and the squid ink paella. Pizza was delicious (can’t go wrong with that combination) tho the biscuit-thin crust wasn’t to my liking. Not much to say about the paella but it’s my fault for ordering a rice dish at a pizza place right?
I’ve been absent, so very absent! And that’s because I’ve been taking motorbike lessons and have been spending most of my time at the school. Right now, it’s a lot of waiting for test dates so I really am suffering from not being able to ride everyday! It actually hurts and leaves me feeling very lost and empty. Haha, can you believe that? So while riding slows down to first gear, I’m gonna try and catch up with everything else.
