Taking a holiday in Spain has been on my mind for weeks now, i’ve even started learning Spanish from podcasts! When i do get to pop by Kinokuniya (a bookstore), i bypass the magazine section and head straight to the travel guides. I do feel a little psycho because i’m never like that. I’m thinking this is partly due to the fact that after visiting New York City, maybe i had to find a new place to dream about. NYC; has been a dream for me since i was 16.

So i’ve been reading this and that, from here and there and have set my heart on five places: Majorca, Gran Canaria, Valencia, Madrid and of course, Barcelona. I found some photos on flickr – one way to get close though hardly enough. They say, be careful what you wish for…

Kiosk, the shop

Yesterday while in Soho, we found Kiosk while trying to hunt down the American Apparel store. I first read about this shop here and made a note on my map to check it out. I’m glad we chanced upon the store before we actually tried to find it. We’ve been making many wrong turns the past two days!

This is what we got from the shop;

My boyfriend & I each got one to make up the couple. I thought it would be funny but cute. Anyways i have to point out that in the third picture, you can see that the male figurine is taller than the female. And it made me smile, if it was made this way intentionally. They are from Finland and i really like how i found them in New York and i’m taking them home to Singapore.
