Saturday — my boyfriend and i took a day trip to Batam. What seemed to be a fun-filled afternoon turned out to be really dreadful disappointing doom doom doom. The only time i dared to take out my camera was in the ferry thus i present ferry shots! The rest of the time i was pretty much frantic frightened frazzled.

These below were taken before leaving Batam, sunset sampan sea.Â

Sunday i cooked. I’m a Real Simple girl and in fact, they were real simple to whip up!

Shrimp with tomatoes and olives served with cous cous

Honey chicken with grilled-corn salad
This is the result of watching too much Top Chef, big itch to cook and my boyfriend would play Judge and spew culinary terms to make me giggle glee giggle.
I’m behind on so many things! This short Chinese New Year break turn me into a sloth. So i’m gonna get on with doing my laundry and the other billion things as well.
Sarah & I found time to hang out at Casual Poet this week, the place is probably my next favourite after PS Cafe at Paragon. It was so good to see her because i’m beginning to think she’s my twin. And this lovely girl, PJ – came to say hi which is the sweetest thing but frankly i wanted to hold up my skirt and dash off because i am this shy but only i wasn’t wearing a skirt! Hello PJ! Plus i recognised her as my junior from Crescent (my secondary school), how small is this world?
Well most of the photos were taken by Sarah but with my camera so i thought to avoid repeated photos on her blog and mine, i digitally manipulated the photos – layered them here and there and such.

How was everyone’s new year’s eve? Mine felt like an ordinary day till the fireworks came on. Now that the holidays are over, i have no more excuse for being a lazy blogger. Happy 2009 folks!
