Life’s candy and the sun’s a ball of butter
$17 for two lattes, a record high. The price to pay for respite from the sun and some air-conditioning, ahhh, my bad!

December is fast approaching and this is when I start to watch as many movies as I can and read as many books as I can till the last second of 31/12/2012. It’s crunch time baby! Because I have to outdo last year’s record. #lame

More, cacti & succulents this time.

I had a long week, my (paternal) grandmother passed away last Friday. I have no grandmothers around anymore, and knowing that really really sucks.
A story about flowers: a few years ago, on my birthday, I received some lilies as well as a nice expensive-ish kitchen knife for presents. Back then, we were living in a tiny space, no obvious division between kitchen/dining/living kind of small space. I had the lilies in a glass bottle next to the sink, and next to the glass bottle next to the sink was my drying rack where the knife was resting to dry. Indie (our cat) jumped onto the kitchen sink, I was standing there and got a nice fright. I jerked and somehow caused the lilies to fall onto the knife. The lilies were in bloom and its yellow pollen pollinated the knife, entirely. Birthday flowers killed birthday knife…
Since then, I’m not fond of lilies. Or having flowers in vessels. Pollenphobia. Am open to potted plants tho.
