I’m awfully tired but i know this has to go up before i sleep away the happy buzz the show left me. Three years back, i went to see them and they ranked #1 as favourite concert ever since then. Tonight, they topped themselves! I could do a whole essay on what they did right but in short, they looked like they were having such a good time playing, being this band and that’s all they needed to do.
I felt i went to this huge party and had so much fun. All these little things they did, Chris Martin was funny, videography was hands-down impressive, at one point so many people were standing on their chairs dancing, Chris Martin made us do the mexican wave with our cellphones… I forget some now but i just didn’t want the party to end. And if you care enough to know what i wore, this is what. Because after tonight, my prior excitement to my Life in Technicolour attempt at dressing up just amounted to nothing!
Haa i know, the masks, just had to do them. That’s my boyfriend, Ben, who kindly accompanied me in this shot!
This post should have been written a lot earlier but i never got down to taking the photos required before sundown. (My home isn’t well-lit enough for photos after dark.) I have been toying with the idea of posting photos of my home and i toyed a little too much with it for too long and in turn, i ended up knowing it would make me feel a little naked. I’m always a bit guarded of what goes up on this blog but i will show you some little things i put around the house! I thought it might be something you could laugh at me for.
Basically i like to put little things on top of switches. I haven’t covered all the switches in my house but majority has its lot taken up, haha.Â
And some else on top of frames. Lastly i thought i’d share this silly song my boyfriend and i sang many months ago (complete with mistakes!), this is to make up for not blogging often enough. I do hate for you to come here and not see a new post for a week!
Camera Obscura played and i had such a good time bobbing to the music. This was what i wore – the dress is vintage and is a gift, boots are vintage via ebay.
After the show, we decided to go get autographs because they’re really sucha cute bunch of people. We were last in line and so our prerogative was to ask for a group photo with the band.
Which we got! So yay, gots to be the highlight of the night. Plus the pianist passed me their setlist they played two nights ago (in Taiwan i’m guessing?) so i’ll take a photo of that and show it in the week’s roundup. Imma gonna find a frame and frame it up! I know it’s just a rotten piece of paper but it sure felt like gold in my hands last night.
I’ve been absent i know and i’m afraid this week’s photos might not be up to par. My grandmother is in the hospital and all i’ve done this week is make trips there and back. So my week hasn’t been flourished with much apart from precious time spent with my grandfolks. I promise better content next week!
Yesterday was one of the highlights of August for me. After many many years of wishful thinking, Death Cab for Cutie finally came to town to do a show! The show happened a little too quickly for me or perhaps it took me too long to fully realise they were in fact playing on the stage. My boyfriend managed to film them playing “I Will Follow You Into The Dark”, i wished i could share their last song for the night “Transatlanticsm” but my trusty camera ran out of memory, queh.
This is what i wore – vintage dress from ebay (sleeves altered shorter) and my bag was thrifted in nyc.
I’m not sure if you can make out two buttons at the empire waistline, it’s kinda cute having the buttons attached to the belt instead of simply sewn on.
Alright here is the video i mentioned earlier, be warned that there’s some screaming a few seconds into the video, so go soft on the volume first.
