The girls had the cutest smiles in the whole world really. They played two shows that night and I went for the earlier one. I’m not sure if they saved the best for last or something but there were many obvious mistakes during the first show. Which made it very awkward to watch. And they didn’t play The Lucky One! Guess I ain’t so lucky. Regardless, I had a real nice time with xwen and friends tho which goes to show, good company trumps all!

This is The xx playing at The Esplanade on Sunday. Can’t say enough THANK YOUs to Young for turning me on to their music! I’ve been youtube-ing the band all day. And it was so nice to see my friends on Sunday too, have I been home that long?

14 JAN 2010, I MET MY CHILDHOOD HEROES.
GUY #1 MADE TO JUMP INTO THE MOSHPIT
ONE OF THE MANY LUCKY FANS WHO GOT TO HANG OUT WITH BILLIE JOE ON STAGE. I THINK SHE’S THE ONE HE KISSED! ON THE HAND, HEEHEE.
GUY #2 MADE TO JUMP INTO THE MOSHPIT. THERE WAS ANOTHER VERY YOUNG BOY WHO JUMPED TOO. ANYWAY THIS DUDE WITH THE GREEN HAIR, HE SANG THE ENTIRE SONG TO ‘LONGVIEW’… ON STAGE, WITH THE BAND. !!!!! HE ROCKED IT THO, SO PROUD!!!
THERE WERE LOTS OF TOYS. THIS ONE WAS USED TO BLAST T-SHIRTS INTO THE CROWD.
I’M REALLY GLAD THEY PLAYED ‘BURNOUT’ AND ‘KING FOR A DAY’. I HAD SUCH A GOOD TIME, I’M STILL SMILING. THEY WERE SO AWESOME LIVE. IT ALMOST FEELS LIKE A MILESTONE IS COVERED Y’KNOW? I PROMISE THE NEXT POST WON’T BE IN CAPS, NOT TILL NEXT SUNDAY, WHEN THE KILLERS COME PLAY! !!!!!!

I haven’t been posting and probably won’t be for awhile more. Stuff happened and i know stuff happens so i’m trying to roll with it. Plus this blog is my happy place so i’m not going to rain on it. But tonight gave me reason to be a little happy because despite ordering everything i wouldn’t usually eat on the menu, the food turned out good. & in our attempt to find the Esplanade Park, we ended up listening to these lovely girls singing at the Waterfront. We didn’t manage to catch their band name, was anyone else there and knows who they are?
They sounded like angels. Stay safe now.
