Yoohoo! A quick word about new items in my shop. G~A~R~L~A~N~D~S!!! Okay, literally spelling it out for you there 😀
Each garland is made out of yarn, strung on twine I hand-dyed. I personally love the foody & fruity ones! While the regular round pom poms aren’t as unique, it was important to me that the colours I used were something different from what’s being offered out there. I hope you like them as much as I do!

My ahma passed away around this time last Monday. The wake is over, the things to be done are done. It’s all quiet now. I’m okay too so don’t worry.
I drew and painted this portrait of her… maybe two or three years ago? (Sidenote: that is not her name on the top right corner, I used a page out of an old book.) I miss her immensely. I miss her being around for my ahgong.

My amazingly talented (and super adorable) friend, Celeste, has a lil exhibition right now at Nana & Bird! I went to see it on Saturday and loved all the interpretations of her alter ego, Puddles. The first two pieces are paintings, followed by prints of her collage work, some silkscreened on wood (!!!) and also silkscreened tote bags. The paintings are omfg-awesome, no kidding.
And that’s Celeste in the second last photo 🙂
Nana & Bird is along Yong Siak Rd, next to Forty Hands and adjacent to Strangelets & Books Actually, that’s super clear directions for you! The exhibition runs till next Saturday.
