Barbie x BCF x TANGS
If you’re popping by TANGS over the next few days, be on a lookout for these Barbie dolls on display around L2 and L4! The dolls are each specially designed (their little home in a box too) by 18 fashion designers both local and international to celebrate Mattel’s 50th anniversary. So the dolls will be up for auction on eBay Singapore come Monday and all proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Foundation. While my point isn’t to ask my readers to go bid but if you’re wondering why I even care, is because someone in my family has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Yikesadoo but we stay positive!
You can view the entire range of dolls here and as for the eBay link, it will only be posted when the auction goes live.

How cute are the mother-daughter ballet flats!

I notice the designers are dog lovers, where my cats at!

So impressed with the hair! And the tiny clutch.

THIS! Has to bring back memories for most girls. The pain of losing one side of your Barbie’s shoe.

This one is by Antik Batik and is my favourite of the lot. The detailing, the eye makeup, the hair, all really grabbed me. I wish I had monies for this baby.

Go see them in person if you can make time! Do bid if you know you can!
Thanks Rae for lifting up the glass covers, heehee, always so nice to see you!

They’re beautiful!
Staying positive is the right spirit! XO
Those dolls bring back childhood memories!
And keep staying positive xxx
oh man, these barbie’s are so great!
i’ve never been one to play with dolls, so i’ve never tasted their shoes. but apparently their shoes taste sooo bitter and disgusting? (to prevent children from eating them) have you ever licked them!?
I’m really sorry to hear of the illness in your family. I first read the ‘someone” as “everyone” and my heart stopped. Stay positive and thank you for posting this.
oh man. love barbies.
sorry about the cancer — and yes, stay positive!
Oh my gosh i am so sorry. My best friends mom is now in recovery. Its great that you are spreading the word and getting this charity out there. Stay positive girl!
I really love the first one, they’re all lovely!
Wow, they’re all such a tour de force of color and accessories! I used to love barbies and had several of ‘winter wonderland’ collectible ones that I couldn’t take out of the box in addition to the ones I played with. Wonderful post!
wow, they’re so pretty!
These are beautiful + awesome! Beautifully awesome, if you will. I love the matching mother/daughter flats. I don’t think I’d mind a pair of glittery flats.
As for me, I never actually had a Barbie. If I did, she was probably neglected at the bottom of my toychest; I preferred to play with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures. My favorite was Donatello. Nonetheless, these Barbie displays are beautiful and it’s cool that they’re created by local and international designers.
I’m sorry to hear that someone in your family has been diagnosed with breast cancer! That’s awful; you have my condolences for these rough times!
thanks for sharing these. those little shoes are so cute.
it’s amazing the ‘tude you have around the bad news. in times like these, friends and family are really the pillar of support. take heart and take care.
wow! those are amazing. i love all of the shoes!
Oh wow ! How pretty!
These are really fun. Not the typical tacky Barbie at all.
Beautiful photos ! I always love to play with Barbies when I was younger and these are just too gorgeous !
I need to head down soon then,to see them up close
