Being park people

Posted in Photography. on Wednesday, October 14th, 2009 by Melly Tags: jetty, picnic, west coast park
Oct 14

I was feeling down all of Friday & Saturday and I didn’t want to waste my Sunday feeling shitty three days in a row so I made some sandwiches, threw together a salad and hurried Ben out of the house before the sun set. We got on our bicycles and rode to West Coast Park.

I’m loving drinks by Schweppes lately, Bitter Lemon and Dry Ginger Ale are my favourites. After watching kites flying and children digging sand (and fathers yelling at sons), we cycled to the jetty nearby.

Gotta work on being more of a park person, it’s that sorta thing whereby you know the park’s always there but it doesn’t occur to you that you could actually go there when you have no idea where to go? Yeah, my friends, we’re going to fly kites soon!

I must say that WCP is one of my favourite parks to go to because it’s such a family place to be! I love watching the lil kids cycling, their frantic dads chasing after them, and the huge dogs playing frisbee.

Hey, maybe one day I’ll bump into you there :P

That is so true about a park…they are always there and you never really think to go. It is a shame too because going to a park is basically free!
